Star Trek: Roddenberry son does not last much of Tarantino

For some years, it has been known that the Kult Director Quentin Tarantino gladly has staged a film in the Star Trek Universe. There was even a collaboration with the author Mark L. Smith to write a matching script. The latter is finished, but Tarantino has now faced other projects. It therefore remains open for the time being as to whether the script is picked up from another director at a later date. For Rod Roddenberry, the son of the star-trek creator Gene Roddenberry, this development seems to come straight right. For as he explained in an interview with the magazine forbes, it was or he is not very enthusiastic about the Tarantino version.

I ve so my problems. I am very short-sighted in the way I see Star Trek. (...) Fans come to me and explain how Star Trek inspires them and hope for the future given. Roddenberry emphasized in the interview a big fan of Tarantino and his work. However, his vision can not be combined with Star Trek - at least not after his personal view.
